Cet endroit est toujours habité, mais si je continue comme çà, il y aura bientôt des toiles d'araignée virtuelles !

Remarquez, çà tombe bien, c'est bientôt Halloween !

Tout va bien à Montréal, l'été a été très beau, nous nous sommes un peu balladés aux US ! C'était cool !

Hier, il faisait encore 35 degrés en ressenti et aujourd'hui, le choc, il fait 20 degrés.
Les arbres commencent tout doucement à changer de couleurs !
Nous sommes prêts pour l'automne !

Côté scrap, j'ai fait des pages, que je ne peux pas vous montrer car pour çà, il faudrait que je les prenne en photos ... et pour l'instant j'ai été trop paresseuse pour le faire !! hi hi

J'espère que tout va bien pour mes amies des p'tits bouts de papier ! Est-ce que l'été a été bon ? même si le temps était pourri ? Les enfants reprenaient l'école aujourd'hui, c'est çà ?

Sinon, je crois que je suis en train de devenir sportive ... qui l'eut crû ? lustucru ?

J'essaie de revenir faire un tour par ici avant Halloween (2011 !) !!!!

Oui, je sais, mon titre de post va sembler une provocation pour mes amies françaises ...

Mais c'est la réalité, il fait une chaleur à crever : jeudi nous avons eu 45 degrés en ressenti : l'enfer !
On dort depuis plusieurs semaines avec un ventilateur dans la tête ...!

Alors vendredi, ma stratégie a été de rester à la maison en évitant de bouger.
J'ai attrapé mes ciseaux et mon massicot ... et voilà une petite page en Alyssiane avec la belle collection "les pieds dans l'eau" !

parce que MONTREAL, C'EST TROPICAL !!!!
et moi qui croyait avoir immigré dans un pays froid ...!!!!

am I becoming a faster scrapbooker ??
I realize that I tend to create LOs faster and faster these days ??
weird, no ?
not that I was a slow scrapbooker ....

maybe, it's because these days, I often 'start' from a sketch : it helps boosting my creativity !!

Anyway, here is a page I did 1 (or 2) week(s) ago for a Studio Calico challenge, but I posted it too late ... (the story of my life, ha ha)

I did not print one single photo for this grid LO, I just punched the photo that have been staying forever in my photo box ! Easy peasy and savvy !!!!

Today, I've got tons of things to do : grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, .... we have friends for dinner tonight !!

And we are celebrating NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY this week-end !!

my poor and selective memory

I love scrapbooking for several reasons :
- I need to create something with my hands
- I love colors, textures, sewing, ...
- also because my memory is very poor (or very very selective and I have no control on the selection process). So scrapboking allows me to record small things that I would forget otherwise !

It is funny because I went to law school and people think that law students have an excellent memory and that you learn everything by heart .... but that's not true !! I've never been able to memorize more thant 3 sentences !!!

Anyway, I am very impressed by people who have this ability to memorize little details, things they were told years ago.

Sylvain is one of them : he is able to give me details about a specific things : things we were told years ago, scientific things he heard on TV or read ... This deserves a scrapbook page, right ?

Can you believe it is 3 degrees in Montreal this morning ???? this morning = April 22 !!

It is so cold for this time of the year ....

My family in France tells me that the summer has arrived : 33 degrees in the backyard !! I am so jealous !

I can't wait to have warmer temperatures here in Montreal.

I haven't suffered from the cold winter, but now I feel that winter is very long !

To cheer me up, I created a LO, with Harmonie products, celebrating the little things that make my life happy right now :

In an effort to forget the winter (and the matching lbs I gained during that season ...), I have decided that I needed to focus on having better eating habits and ~~resume~~ start workout sessions ...

If you know me, you know that I love eating, cooking and eating and scrapping !!!
I am not known for my sporty behavior !
Well, I would like to change that, so I decided to start running !!!

I started the COUCH TO 5K program !!
So far (i am in week 2), I love it because it is very progressive !
I am not red like a lobster at the end of the session and I am quite enjoying it !!
3 runs a week !!

On top of all these runs, I started today a yoga-pilates class with a friend !

I am also trying to eat more healthy !! Not always easy when you have friends visiting you, but I try !
(~~should I mention that I ate a small slice of pizza for lunch and that I am planning to eat a poutine tonight~~ ? no, bad example !)

On the scrappy front, I am quite healthy too ! Take a look at this one !!

my hair disaster !!!!

Hello there !

two weeks ago, I went to the hairdresser's for a cut and I came out crying ... It was such a disaster.
I spare you with details but let me tell you I will never go again to this place ....

Anyway, as any scrapbooker would do (....tell me if i am wrong !!), I took pictures of the disaster as soon as I came back home : pictures as evidence of the crime !!

At that time, I was not sure if I wanted these photos to appear on a scrapbook page ....
And then after a few days , I said "why not ?".
I believe in the virtues of scrap-therapy and after all, I will laugh at it in a few ~~days~~ ~~weeks~~ years !!!

It has snowed so much this week .... 15 cms (6 inches) this morning ! Il a tellement neigé cette semaine ... 15 cms (ou 6 pouces)
Don't get me wrong, I love snow, but sometimes I feel like we live a life in black and white =)

Mixed Media

Hellooooooooo !!

Without planning it, I think 2011 will be the year of mixed media for me ! Sans le prévoir, je crois que 2011 est l'année du mixed media pour moi !

I notice that I tend to create more and more small mixed media pieces ! and I love creating them ! Je me rends compte que je crée avec plaisir de plus en plus de petites pièces de mixed media.
Most of the time, I use paper scraps to create a collage and then I alter the collage with paint, ink, stamps, memorabilia ... actually, what sits on my desk :-) La plupart du temps, j'utilise des chutes de papier pour faire un collage, que j'altère avec de la peinture, de l'encre, des tampons, des petits objets ...en fait tout ce qui traine sur mon bureau ;-)

So Tuesday night, I created this piece on a small wooden square (4 * 4 inches) with mosaic and mirror pieces. Mardi soir, j'ai fait cette petite pièce (10 * 10 cms) sur un carré de bois avec des petits bouts de mosaique et de miroir.

And I found it a new place : just under Marie's Tour Eiffel Collage !
et je lui ai trouvé une place parfaite : juste sous le collage Tour Eiffel de Marie !

Because I say to everyone back in France that living in Montreal during winter time is like living in a ski resort ... I had to make a LO !!

Week-end in Boston

I can't believe March is in 2 weeks.
Je n'arrive pas à croire que Mars est dans 2 semaines...

I have been so busy since January : 5 days in Los Angeles, 3 days in Quebec City, then 2 days in Boston ... I feel like I live in a hotel !!! J'ai été tellement occupé depuis Janvier : 5 jours à Los Angeles, 3 jours à Québec, 2 jours à Boston ... j'ai l'impression de vivre dans un hôtel !!

I am not complaining because I am lucky, but I am also very tired !!!! Je ne me plains pas, j'ai de la chance, mais je suis super fatiguée !

Anyway, we spent last week-end in Boston and I must say, I love this city. It's beautiful, historical and smart city !! Yes with all these clever brains in Harvard and MIT, you feel you are surrounded by geniuses !!!!
Bref, nous avons passé le WE dernier à Boston (1000 kms aller-retour de Montréal pour les françaises qui se posent la question !!!). J'adore cette ville, c'est beau, plein d'histoire, et c'est une ville intelligente !! Avec tous ces cerveaux super intelligents qui étudient à Harvard et au MIT, on a l'impression d'être entouré de génies !!

Of course, I have no time to scrap a complete LO, because either I am not home or I am too tired ... So here is an old one (never posted though)
Bien sûr, je n'ai pas eu le temps de scrapper une page complète : soit je ne suis pas à la maison, soit je suis trop fatiguée ! Alors voilà une vieille page, jamais postée !!

The good thing is I found out I love working on my art journal while watching TV !! Easy, messy and very relaxing !!
La chose positive dans tout çà, c'est que j'ai découvert que j'aimais travailler sur mon 'art journal' devant la télé !! C'est facile, je peux patouiller et c'est très relaxant !

My French friends will recognize the song from Johnny Hallyday called "Oh Gabrielle" !!
It could have been the title of my LO about my sweet niece Gabrielle !! I wanted to put the focus on the photo so my LO is minimalist !!!

Otherwise, it is still snowing in Montreal and I love that !!

Of course I love snow, because it's beautiful and also because the day after the snow storm you usually get big blue skies !!!!
Today I am just relaxing, nothing special scheduled and I am happy with that (because I worked 2 weeks in a row without any days off and I am exhausted !!!)

But to keep you in the wintery mode, here is a simple LO that I created back in November. It's just a simple LO to celebrate my 1st winter in Canada ! Hope you like it !!!!

I am back from CHA in Los Angeles !! It was awesome because :
- I saw old friends
- I made new friends
- I had the chance to see brand new beautiful products. I love the new Sassafras, Crate Paper, Harmonie, GCD Studios, Jenni Bowlin and the fabric albums from Maya Road
- it was sunny and warm ( while it was freezing in Montreal)
Of course, I took one single photo while I was there ...
But this is what LA is about, no ?? Palm trees and blue skies !!!

- j'ai vu des amies,
- j'ai rencontré des nouvelles amies,

Mon 1er hiver au Québec a démarré très fort !! Nous avons eu une 1ère tempête de neige la semaine dernière et il est tombé plus de 32 cms en un peu plus de 24 heures !!
C'est super beau, j'ai l'impression de vivre dans une station de ski (mais sans les remonte pentes !!)

Du coup, çà m'a fait pensé à une page faie il y a quelques temps et jamais publiée !!
parce qu'ici, on aime la NEIGE !!!!

My first winter in Quebec started with a first snow storm last week !! More than 30 cms of snow fell in a little bit more than 24 hours !!!
It's beautiful and I feel like I live in a winter skiing resort (without the ski lifts !!!!)

It made me think of a LO I created a while ago and never posted !
because here we love SNOW !!

My Christmas ornaments project: it is a super easy project. You can make one for each member of your family and hang them on your Christmas tree (or use them as place cards)!!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1 – Cut out two stars (one large and one small) and a 4” circle in chipboard (or use your pre-cut chipboard shapes: dinosaur, heart, Butterfly, etc).

2 – Cover the chipboard shapes with pages from an old book or patterned paper. Ink the edges with Distress Ink.

3 – Print two round pictures: one that will fit in the large circle, and another that will fit into the center of the star (or whatever shapes you may have used). Cut the photos into circles. My pictures are about 2¾” circles.

4 – Glue patterned crepe paper (crinkle to create a ruffle) to the back of your pics, making sure the pattern appears on the correct side.

Note – you can use plain crepe paper, or you can stamp on your crepe paper with acrylic paint:

(pictured: black crepe paper + dot stamp + Ranger Adirondack gold paint dabber = polka dot crepe paper)

5 – With a Cropadile (or any hole punch), punch a hole at the top and at the bottom of the large star and the circle chipboards.

6 – Apply some Stickles (glitter glue) on the edges of both the pictures and the large chipboard shapes.

You can either apply Stickles to the small star or do what I did: cover the star with Glossy Accents with glitter mixed in.

Let it dry. When the Glossy Accents is dry, punch a hole in the middle of the small star.

7 – Glue the embellished pictures to the large covered chipboard shapes (large star and circle).

8 – Grab some plastic embellies (or pearls, or charms…) and string them onto some craft wire. Twist the wire to secure the embellishments.

Attach a cluster of embellishments to the large star to complete the first ornament. For the second ornament, connect the large circle to the small star with a thread, then attach the dangling embellies to the small star.

9 – Attach a ribbon to the top of your ornament and you’re done!!

Alors cette année, le Paper & co show s'est posé en France à la base de loisirs de Buthiers pour 3 jours de pure folie. Cette année, j'ai multiplié les rôles : co-organisatrice, traductrice et prof !

J'ai adoré du début à la fin !!

This year, the Paper & co Show put its luggage in France in Buthiers for 3 days of pure craziness.
This year, I multiplied my roles : co-organizer, translator and teacher !
I loved it from the beginning to the end !!

Tellement de belles rencontres avec les participantes : je ne peux pas toutes les citer, de peur d'en oublier, nous étions 150 filles (et 3 mecs sur le site) venant de France, de Belgique, du Canada, des Etats-Unis, d'Espagne, de Grece, d'Israel, de Norvège, de Suède, d'Allemagne, du Brésil ... !

I met so many wonderful people : I can't even give all the names, I am afraid I would forget some names !

We were 150 women (and 3 guys) coming from France, Belgium, Canada, USA, Spain, Greece, Israel, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Brazil, ...

Des profs géniales, gentilles et super talentueuses: j'étais ravie de revoir Mou, Vicki qui me fait mourir de rire, Sabine, Flo, Pascale , et Isabelle! Ravie de rencontrer Julie (dont j'admire le travail depuis longtemps), Nathalie, Erin, sans oublier Safo, Caroline, Linda et Aniia ...

2 soirées crop géniales grâce à toutes les participantes qui ont joué le jeu à 200%
Vendredi soir nous avions une soirée pyjamas (et pirate pour les GO)
Samedi soir était placé sous le signe de Noel et (presque) tout le monde est venu habillé en blanc et rouge. Et nous avons même eu le droit à la vraie neige !! (merci papa noel!!)

We had 2 amazing crop evenings thanks to our super incredible attendees who played their part at 200%
Friday evening was PJs night (and pirate costumes for the co-organizers)
Saturday night was X-mas night and (almost) everyone dressed in white and red. We even has real snow !! (thank you santa claus)

Vous vous rappelez quand je vous racontais mon week-end super sportif en septembre (ici) ?
Je disais que dans l'effort (et le stress), je peux dire des choses stupides dans le style de
"J'aime les sports nautiques mais j'aime pas l'eau" ...
Il fallait que je fasse une page sur cette phrase devenue mythique dans ma famille !!!

Pour ceux qui me connaissent, ils savent que je prononce ce mot de façon assez exceptionnelle ...
For those of you who know me, they know that I rarely pronounce this word ...

Disons que je ne suis pas (plus) sportive ! Mais ce week-end, les choses ont changé !!!
Let's say that I am not a sport fan (or not anymore) ! but this week-end, things have changed !!

çà a commencé vendredi soir avec une séance de sport de 1h15 à la salle de gym avec une prof montée sur des ressorts. Les seuls moments de pauses autorisés pendant la séance, c'était quand nous avions le droit de courir sur place ...It all started friday evening with a gym session of 1h15 with a teacher mounted on springs. We never stopped during the whole session, the only breaks we had was when we were allowed to run normally in the room ...

Ensuite samedi matin , départ pour le Mont Tremblant. Petite balade en Canoe pendant 1 h, suivie d'une balade de 2h dans le parc national pour atteindre un belvédère (qui dit belvédère, dit çà monte dur ...)
Then, Saturday morning, we left for Mont Tremblant. We had a blast for 1h on a canoe on the lake. The canoe ride was followed by a 2 hr hike on the mountain to reach a fabulous viewpoint (when I say 'viewpoint' read 'steep hills ...)

Dimanche, petite randonnée équestre dans les Laurentides. Bien sur j'ai adoré !! Sunday, we went horse riding in the Laurentians. Of course, I loved it !
et pour finir, lundi direction Mont saint-Hilaire pour une belle ballade de 2h pour atteindre un autre belvedere ... and to end with, Monday, we had a 2 hr walk/Hike on the Mont saint-Hilaire to reach another 'viewpoint' ...

conclusion :

- je n'ai aucune endurance, mais j'y travaille
I have no endurance at all, but I am working on it

- quand je suis dans l'effort, je peux dire des choses débiles du genre "j'aime bien les sports nautiques, mais je n'aime pas l'eau".
When I am in an effort, I can say stupid things like " I love nautical sports, but I don't like water"

- Je me sens bien après le sport, mais moins bien le lendemain !!
I feel good after exercising, but not that good the day after !!

J'ai utilisé la magnifique collection Bella Bohemia pour faire un mini album tout simple ! J'adore Bella Bohemia, les couleurs sont superbes et vous avez vu les papiers en VRAI Kraft ? On peut même peindre dessus !! Si si j'ai essayé ;-)

I have used the adorable Bella Bohemia Collection to create a simple mini-album ! I love Bella Bohemia, the colors are gorgeous, and ave you seen the REAL kraft papers ? You can even paint on them !! Yes I tried ;-)

Alors voici le mini-album avec les formes prédécoupées. J'ai recouvert l'ensemble des pages recto-verso, soit avec du papier, soit avec de la peinture acrylique.
J'ai placé mes photos, puis embellit page après page !! Et voilà !!

So here is the mini-album with precut shapes. I covered all pages on both sides, either with patterned paper or with acrylic paint.
I placed my pictures, then embellished every page ! Et voilà !!

Sinon, en ce moment au Québec, c'est le festival des couleurs, les arbres sont magnifiques. On dirait que certains sont rouges fluo (çà existe comme couleur). Je vous montrerai bientôt des photos !

Merci pour vos gentils messages de félicitations pour mon arrivée dans l'équipe créative d'Harmonie. J'ai hâte de vous montrer quelques projets faits avec leurs nouvelles lignes.

Alors hier, il y a avait la crop en ligne de la rentrée sur 2 peas. Ni une ni deux, j'ai rangé mon bureau, imprimé quelques photos et j'etais prête !!
J'adore les crops et j'adore faire des challenges. çà me booste !!
Hier soir, j'ai fait 2 pages en moins de 2.5 heures.
et il n'est pas exclu que je m'y recolle un peu ce WE (parce qu'on a jusqu'à dimanche soir pour poster les pages des challenges)

thank you for the congratulations messages for my integration to Harmonie Design Team. I can't wait to post projects done with their newest collections !!

Yesterday evening was the back to school online crop at 2 peas. Without even thinking, I 'unmessed' my scrap desk, printed a few pics and I was ready !!
I love crops and I love being challenged. It takes me out of my comfort zone.
So yesterday evening I created 2 LOs in less than 2.5 hours.
And it is not impossible that I will come back to it today because you have until sunday midnight to post the LOs done for the challenges.

J'aime beaucoup cette page avec ma petite Mamie ! Le challenge etait de faire une page avec un fond noir, quelques touches de blanc et de choisir une seule autre couleur (j'ai choisi le rose).

I love this LO about my sweet Grandma. The challenge was to create a page with a black background, touches of white + 1 other color (I chose pink).

Ici, le challenge était de suivre un sketch. Je crois que je l'ai suivi de très loin : j'ai fait des ronds !!

mais je suis contente car j'ai fait une page simple avec des restes de papier, découvert une nouvelle fàçon de faire des fleurs en papier et ma page raconte une histoire !!

Here, the challenge was to use a sketch as a starting point. I think I am far from the original sketch : at least I used circles !! But I am happy with it because I used old paper scraps, discovered a new way (to me) to mle paper flowers and my LO tells a story !

En général, dans ma tête, septembre = fin de l'été
Mais il fait tellement chaud à Montréal ... l'été se prolonge cette année, et pas qu'un peu !!!

Normally in my head, September = end of summer
But it is so hot and humid in Montreal ... Summer is lasting a bit longer this year !!

J'en peux plus !!!!!! Je suis prête Madame l'Automne, tu peux venir !!!

31 degrees celsius (88 F°) with Humidex at 9 am and 41 degrees (106 F°) at 5 pm ...

Pour la page sur Montréal, je me suis amusée avec la technique de l'assemblage de papier (paper piecing) pour recréer selon moi les endrois représentatifs de la ville (la montagne et son chalet, les gratte-ciels du centre-ville et le fleuve Saint-Laurent)

For this page on Montreal, I had fun with the paper piecing technique to re-create the places representing the city (the Mount Royal and its cabin, the sky scrapers, and the Saint Lawrence river)

On continue avec un autre projet pour GCD Studios et cette fois-ci, j'ai fait une petite page avec plein de fleurs (il faisait chaud cette semaine à Montréal, alors j'ai été inspirée par des fleurs tropicales !!!)

Let's continue with another project for GCD Studios and this time I created a LO with lovely flowers (it was warm this week in Montreal, and I was inspired by tropical flowers !!)

Comme en ce moment, je suis dans le 'flower power' (!!), je vous ai fait un petit tuto pour faire des fleurs faciles et en relief !

Right now, I am obsessed by the 'flower power', I created step by step instructions to make cute, easy and 3d flowers !

et voilà, super simple et vous pouvez superposez les fleurs de tailles différentes pour faire des fleurs comme sur ma page. Vous pouvez les maintenir avec des brads ou des boutons !!

Super easy, and you can layer flowers of different sizes to create flowers as in my LO. You can hold it together with brads or buttons !

So here we are, Monday August 2, 1st creation : I created a cute card with the accordeon flower technique ! Funny how I create flowes these days ... very unusual from me !!

En tous cas, c'est une petite carte facile, rapide et adorable (enfin je trouve !!)

Anyway, it is easy and fast to create, and cute (well, i find it cute !!)

Je trouve que GCD Studios a de superbes collections de papiers , très colorés comme je les aime et pour la plupart, imprimé des deux côtés.

GCD fait également des embellissements à tomber : des bordures, des boutons, des brads en tissu (yum !!), des collections magnifiques créées par Melody Ross et enfin des chipboards et les outils qui vont avec !

I find that GCD Studios has gorgeous paper collections, very colorful as I like, and most of them printed both sides.
GCD Studios also has embellishements to die for : paper borders, vintage buttons, fabric brads (yum !), collections designed by Melody Ross, and last but not least amazing chipboard shapes and tools !

vous voyez le soleil ? et ben cette forme d'alvéole d'abeille ? et ben, c'est un super tampon d'Alyssiane !! J'adore les tampons de fond comme çà, çà donne de la dimension !

Je suis non seulement hyper contente de repartir à nouveau dans l'aventure Paper & co Show avec mes compères de l'équipe organisatrice, mais cette année, grande nouveauté pour moi, je vais donner des classes !!

Ressortez vos perforatrices, vos chutes de papier pour créer une page dynamique et colorée. On pourra même faire un peu de couture, mais rien d'obligatoire !!
Take your punches and your paper scraps and create with me a colored and dynamic layout. We will even be able to sew a little bit (but nothing mandatory !!!)

2/ Dans le fond tout va bien / My personal background
C'est dans le titre !!! on va s'amuser à retravailler un fond de page avec du glimmer mist, des tampons, et toujours plein de petits détails ...

3/ Ma bonne étoile / My lucky star
Dans un style 'white space', amusons-nous avec de la superposition de papiers et d'embellissements, un peu de couture et des techniques de journaling pour une page adorable !!

EN : 2 of my LOs are featured in this cute inspiration book called SCRAPBOOK INSPIRATION Vol 2.

The lovely Shimelle Laine is in charge of this mag and requested 2 of my pages. Really cool, thank you Shimelle !

The summer idea book from Scrapbook Inspirations is available now. This edition features pages about summer, the outdoors, girls, boys, pets, plus workshop articles on outdoor photography, detailed borders, interactive pages and machine sewing. There’s also our regular Sketch Collection, the scraplift feature Take it up a Step and Colour Story with lots of projects in my favourite colour combination for this summer. + a CD ROM full of digital elements !!
I haven't received a copy of it yet, but I must say that I liked very much the 1st volume.
Full of ideas, the pictures of the LO are quite big so you can see the details pretty clearly ...

it will appear in Barnes and Noble and some Borders stores sometime in the next two weeks, and on line (including here) !!!

Can't wait to put my hands on it !!

EN : a few month ago, I was asked to create a 'freestyle' LO. I had a lot of fun with this one !!! I played with alphabets, punches, chipboard & my pen.
I think my pen is going to become my new best friend since I didn't take py printer in the move from France to Canada !!!

FR: il y a quelques mois, on m'a demandé de créer une page 'freestyle'. Je me suis bien amusée à la faire !!! J'ai joué avec mes alphabets, mes perfos, le chipboard et mon stylo.
Je crois que mon stylo est en train de devenir mon meilleur ami car je nai pas pris mon imprimante dans le déménagement !!!

Otherwise, we're doing great in Montreal. We're running like crazy to find appliances and furniture for the appartment where we'll be moving in on July 1st:

FR : Je suis toujours VIVANTE, promis. J'essaie juste de m'ajuster à ma nouvelle vie à Montréal. J'ai trouvé un bel appartement dans lequel j'emmenagerai le 1er juillet. J'ai eu un entretien d'embauche aujourd'hui (qui s'est passé plutot bien), mais je n'ai pas le temps, l'espace et le matériel pour scrapper (et çà me rend folle !!)

heureusement, j'avais trouvé le temps de scrapper avant de partir : alors voilà une petite page avec ma super adorable nièce.
J'ai utilisé découpé le titre à la main et utilisé la collection Sophie de Bo Bunny : terriblement adorable et moi qui n'utilise jamais de fleurs, on en pouvait plus m'arrêter !!!

les ateliers de scrap du lundi et les crops me manquent déjà je vous le dis, mais çà ira mieux quand j'aurai 'reconstitué' une scraproom !!!! PATIENCE !!

EN : I am still ALIVE, I promise. I am just adjusting to my new life in Montreal. I have found a nice appartment, where I will move in on July 1st. I've had a job interview today (which went quite well), but I do not have time, physical space and supplies to scrap (which drives me crazy !!)

EN : more specifically, we arrived in Montreal 10 days ago ! and we haven't stopped since then.

In scrappy news, I was given the opportunity by Ariane from Ulymaxcrea to ~~work~~ play with amazing products from several scrapbooking companies.

Here is the 1st one I made with products from We R Memory Keepers, VINTAGE BLUE Collection.

FR : plus spécifiquement, nous sommes arrivés à Montréal il y a 10 jours ! et nous n'avons pas arrêté depuis.

The weather was fabulous : we played in the garden, drank champagne, had fun, laughed, and ate a wonderful diner.

FR : J'ai fini ce plaid pour bébé ce week-end et je l'ai offert hier à bébé Arthur ! Même s'il n'est pas techniquement parfait, j'adore les couleurs et les petits carrés trè simples ! Je crois que ma soeur l'a bien aimé !
Maintenant, je dois finir un autre plaid pour un autre bébé !!

J'espère que votre WE a été bon et que vous n'avez pas subi directement ou indirectement de l'espace aérien fermé. C'est juste incroyable ... plus de 60.000 vols annulés ...

EN : My last crop before we move to Canada was saturday afternoon. I loved it and I had a lot of fun with my crop friends ! I am lucky to have met wonderful people thanks to scrapbooking.
The crop theme was the shabby style. So I scraplifted more or less Céline's cute LOs. Of course, I had to use pictures of Arthur and his sisters !!!!

FR : samedi, c'était ma dernière crop avant de déménager au Canada. J'ai adoré et je me suis bien amusée avec mes amis de crop ! J'ai de la chance d'avoir rencontré des personnes formidables grâce au scrapbooking !
Le thème de la crop était le style Shabby. Alors, j'ai plus ou moins 'copié' les adorables pages de Céline. Bien sur, j'ai utilisé des photos d'Arthur et de ses soeurs !!!!

EN : as promised, more sneaks of the LOs created for Scrap Pour Tous Mag. I have to admit that I just adore one LO I created for the magazine. I adore the stories behind it and I had so much fun creating it !!
It's about the nicknames given to Sylvain, my brother and my dad. So I'll share 3 sneaks for this single interactive LO.

I also created 2 other LOs : 1 was about recycling in scrapboking (I used clothes tags), and a sketch !

J'adore l'histoire qu'elle raconte et je me suis tellement amusée à la faire ! Elle raconte les petits surnoms de Sylvain, mon frère et mon père. EN : at last (!!), I played with new supplies last week-end and yesterday evening !!!
I created 2 LOs (sorry for the crooked pictures):
- "Sweet kiss" : i used a kit (Baker's dozen) from Studio Calico
- "Proud" : I used Magenta paper. It's a canadian scrapbooking company with beautiful products. I love the peacock

Too bad during weekdays, I can only take pictures before leaving for work. The light isn't very good ... but otherwise, it's too dark when I come back home !!!
Life is hard ;-)

FR : le week-end dernier et hier soir, j'ai enfin pu scrapper avec des nouveaux produits !
J'ai fait 2 pages (désolée pour les photos de travers):

EN : I would like to make a clarification regarding my previous post : the stupid request for a tax receipt were asked by my mobile phone service provider, not the Canadian government. The administrative part with the Canadian authorities took time but went well. What is bugging me know is the absurd requests the French companies ask me !!!

On another note, here is my double page for the month of February of Project 12.
February was a month during which we spent a lot of time with our family. It was great !

La demande stupide de l'avis d'imposition ne m'a pas été faite par le gouvernement américain, mais par Orange pour mon abonnement de telephone portable. EN : the other day, I created this cute little frame for friends. It's tiny (2 * 2,5 in).
Done in 30 minutes including the time to dry the crackle paint !

In other news, we are planning our move : what do we want/need to take with us, trying to end our contracts (for instance my mobile phone) : let me tell you it's driving me crazy ...
To end my mobile phone contract, I have been asked to provide a tax receipt from Canada. I am not even in Canada yet, how can I have a tax receipt ...
I could write a book about the stupid things I have been asked ...

Alors, quand à 18.30, mon frère m'appelle pour me dire "dépêchez-vous, j'ai réservé la plus grande baignoire", je n'ai pas compris .. jusqu'à ce que nous arrivions !

A Paris, les tables basses sont complètement dépassées !!! Maintenant on boit un verre autour d'une baignoire ou d'un lavabo !!

FR : Comme je sais que 2010 va être une année assez "hors du commun", j'ai décidé de documenter cette année mois après mois à travers une double page retraçant les moments marquants(c'est le projet 12 - voir colonne de droite de mon blog). Alors pour Janvier, déjà quelques grands moments !!

VACATIONS ... next week I will be on vacations ! I will be staying in Paris but have planned tons of things to do : I have a cooking class on Tuesday, an afternoon to spend at the SPA on Thursday and some time spent with my family !

VACANCES .. je serai en vacances la semaine prochaine ! Je reste à Paris, mais j'ai djà prévu plein de choses : cours de cuisine mardi, après-midi hammam et tout le tralala jeudin et du bon temps en famille !
j'ai super hâte ! je posterai des photos des cours de cuisine.

j'ai aussi une page pour le challenge spécial 'ruffles' (je sais pas comment on dit en français, 'froufrou' ???) pour Studio Calico. Une double page, c'est si rare !! C'est une page sur nos peluches de Noel, dont Woody, donc çà méritait une double page !!

I noticed that I am often obsessed by little things (a song, a thing, a color, ...) so I'll try to share with you weekly (on mondays) 3 of my current obsessions that can transform into pieces of inspiration.

J'ai remarqué sue j'étais souvent obsédée par des petites choses (une chanson, une chose, une couleur, ...). je vais donc tenter de partager avec vous toutes les semaines mes petites obsessions, qui peuvent se transformer en petits bouts d'inspiration.

Non, ce n'est pas le nouveau burger de Mc Donalds c'est la technique qui consiste à faire des trous (à la perfo) dans son papier comme dans du gruyere, et à coller des papiers colorés à motifs derrière. Facile et j'adore le résultat.

I have to work on my X-mas pictures ! Fortunately, the december crop of 'les p'tits bouts de papiers' was about building a X-mas album. So the structure is already done (thank you Céline !), I only need to edit my pictures and add them to the album !!

je dois travailler les photos prises à Noel ! Heureusement, pendant la crop de décembre des 'p'tits bouts de papier', nous avons construit un album de Noel. Donc la structure est déjà terminée (merci Céline !), je n'ai plus qu'à éditer mes photos et les ajouter à l'album !!

by the way, I just love the 'snow effect' on the cover of the album. I made it with this ! You just have to apply it and let it dry for 24 hours. Easy !

Au fait, j'adore 'l'effet neige' sur la couverture, je l'ai fait avec çà. Il suffit de l'appliquer et de laisser sécher 24 h. Facile !
